Author Guidelines

Annals of Biomedical and Clinical Case Reports is a peer-reviewed, open access journal committed to publishing high-quality Research, Review, Short communications, Commentaries, Case reports, Case studies that contribute to all fields of biomedical sciences, clinical case reports, drug reactions and side effects, diagnostic challenges, therapeutic interventions. To ensure a streamlined editorial and publication process, authors are encouraged to carefully review and follow the guidelines outlined below before submitting their manuscripts.


Paper Requirements


The journal welcomes a variety of article types including original research articles, systematic and narrative reviews, clinical case reports, brief communications, and editorials. Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not currently under review elsewhere. Authors must confirm that all listed contributors have made substantial academic contributions to the work and have approved the final manuscript for submission.


Manuscript Preparation


Manuscripts must be submitted in clear, grammatically correct English using Microsoft Word or PDF format. Each submission should begin with a title page that includes the article title, full names and affiliations of all authors, and complete contact details for the corresponding author.

The manuscript should contain a structured abstract of 150–300 words, briefly summarizing the objective, methods, results, and conclusion. Below the abstract, authors should provide 3–6 relevant keywords. The main body of original research articles should include an introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, and conclusion. Review articles and case reports can follow appropriate structured formats depending on the nature of the content. All tables and figures must be clearly labelled, referenced within the text, and accompanied by concise captions. High-resolution images should be submitted as separate files.

All references must be cited appropriately within the text and listed at the end of the manuscript in a consistent format, preferably following Vancouver or APA style. Authors must also include a statement of acknowledgments, funding sources, and any potential conflicts of interest.


Article Processing Charges (APC)


To support the cost of high-quality peer review, copyediting, typesetting, online hosting, indexing, and long-term archiving, the Journal charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 1019 for each accepted manuscript.The APC is payable only after the manuscript has been peer-reviewed and formally accepted for publication. There are no submission charges. Authors from low- and middle-income countries may request a partial waiver, subject to editorial approval.


Article Withdrawal Policy


The journal follows strict ethical publishing standards. Authors are requested to consider their submission carefully before sending it to the journal. Authors can withdraw their manuscript without any fee within 2 days after submission. Withdrawal after this stage is considered a serious issue. If an author insists on withdrawal, an administrative fee of 50% of the APC will be charged to cover editorial and processing expenses.


Journal Ethics


The journal adheres to the ethical guidelines and standards set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All submitted work must be original, properly cited, and free from plagiarism or redundant publication. Ethical clearance is mandatory for studies involving human or animal subjects, and patient consent must be obtained and documented for clinical case reports. Conflicts of interest must be transparently disclosed, and authorship must reflect actual academic contributions to the research.

Breaches of ethical publishing standards may result in manuscript rejection, retraction of published articles, and appropriate notifications to affiliated institutions.
